Korea can experience intense summer rain. People living in basement, semi-basement, low-lying, riverside, or hillside areas should pay special attention to local alerts. Before rainy season, check drains, emergency exits, portable chargers, important documents, and waterproof storage. Know where to go if your building or street begins flooding. Do not walk or drive through fast-moving water. When alerts are issued, follow local government and emergency instructions. Move early if your home is vulnerable. Waiting until water enters the building can make evacuation much harder.
