How would you divide a 16-day family trip around Korea?

For a first 16-day trip with two adults and a 12-year-old, I am comparing Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan, and one additional stop. I want enough time to enjoy each place without spending the whole holiday in transit. How many nights would you give each city? Would you add Jeju, or use those days for a deeper visit to Seoul and Busan?
